So.. this is going to bea mixed up blog!

First.. The Chris Shivers Bull Riding! We all went.. My Mom and Dad Kristie The kids and Skylers cousin Luke! We had a blast..except for my constant sneezing.. from all the smoke! LOL

Only my husband I swear! LOL! He goes roping... the rope comes around and "slaps" his pinkie.. and he breaks it! HIS PINKIE! So I had to take him to after hours which I found hillarious.. it is a pinkie? WTH could they possibly do? So I took him anyway.. the dr goes to look at it and touch on it and Sean turns GREEN and almost throws up! So he had to lay down.. it was then that I realized a pinkie break hurts! LOL! But he got NO sympathy from the girls up there LOL... he went fishing/run the boat yesterday.. then gets home.. leaves and goes roping.. then today he had planned on going fishing again! So he was just going out and enjoying himself and leaving me to deal with the kids! NO MAM! Thats not cool! So I did get a sick little laugh in at him and so did all the ladies! Guess he wont be going fishing today.. instead he will be going to the dr!

Open House

Tonight was Skylers schools open house! We had to listen to this long talk from the principal and the PTA then they did a raffle... we won a $25 gift certificate to Outback.. of course as soon as I start a diet! LOL! Then we got to go meet his teacher...this is where the fun started....

Since the 1st day of school we have had a TON of homework... I swear we spend at least an hour on homework a night! I think this is crazy.. the 1st week of first grade and all this? Oh but I had no clue it was about to get worse... She informs us tonight that we have even more on our plate.. math drills.. writing drills..word recognition drills...etc! It is crazy! The teacher was not the "friendliest" of people! She seemed very frazzled and even said she does not have enough time to sit and treat them like babies..well in my eyes.. HE STILL IS A BABY! HE IS MY BABY! I almost started crying listening to this woman talk.. I don't want my baby having all this or dealing with all this! Thankfully I was not the only one.. the other moms kept looking at each other going OMG.. WTH? So I dunno what to think..but I guess we just have to do it! I guess I was spoiled last year! Mrs.Craig was so wonderful! She was so close to the kids and took such good care of them and helped them!

But despite all of this.. Skyler got his test back from last week and I could not be ANY PROUDER! Seriously... On his Spelling test.. He got a 100% A... Grammar... 97% A ..... reading a 90% B he should have had a 93 but the teacher took points off on the stupidest thing.. he wrote in the right answer but did not fill in the bubble! And Conduct he had a 100% A! So tomorrow.. he gets to go get a bakugan toy! Well I am taking him to get 1 and he has talked his Maw Maw into taking him to get 2 of them... he asked for 3 but she shot him down.. I give him an A for effort! LOL! So bribery is going to be the trick! LOL!

And lastly... Skyler is going to be a "Dream Child" standing up at the Dreams Come True Dance.. and he gets to bring a friend.. so he should have a blast!

Skylers Blog

So Skyler is going to tell you about his first week of school!

Me: What do you think about your first week of school?
Skyler: It was good I had fun

Me: What do you miss about Kind.?
Skyler: Naptime and Snack... we dont get those anymore! Mrs.Craig being my teacher and centers!

Me: Do you think you are all grown up now that you are in 1st grade?
Skyler: Pretty much we are grown up some more now that we are in 1st grade!

Me: What do you think about all your homework?
Skyler: Its hard.. and it takes a really long time to do!

Me: What do you think about spelling words?
Skyler: so hard

Me: So anything else you wanna share?
Skyler: I am excited about it and that is all!


So that is Skylers feelings on 1st grade! LOL! We are waiting for the results of his 1st spelling test.. he missed 1 word on the pretest.. so I hope he did well on the big test! We bribed him.. I know bad parents! But if he does good he gets a bakugan toy!

The 'Coon hunter and a trip to the dr!

So Saturday after Brooklyns birthday Sean was determined to catch this annoying Raccoon that kept getting in the trash! Going in our shed and almost came in the house when the kids left the back door open the other day! So Friday night he tried till 3 am to catch it... the coon was smarter than him though! (not a tough job! hahaha) So evertime he would set it the coon would "sneak" in get his pb&j sandwich and sneak out of the trap! So Saturday night Sean was on the hunt! He got smart for once and said the coon was greedy so he made 2 sandwiches and set them both in the cage.. well the greedy coon could not just have one sandwich he needed 2! So being greedy got him caught! Sean was overjoyed! Seriously a kid in a candy store excited!LOL! The coon seemed really nice! He was not scared at all.. well until Remi tried to grow a pair and scare him! But overall he never hissed or anything! So Sean took him to his parents house and turned him loose! But here are some pics!

Then Monday rolls around and Speed wakes up with his face covered in a rash and wheezing! Scared the life out of me! I gave him a breathing treatment then I called the dr and they said bring him in! So I took Skyler to school and then off to the dr we went! She said it looked like an allergic reaction.. but to what?? He did not eat anything new so she said he had a bug bite on his forehead so she guessed maybe that? So she put him on steroids for 5 days and benadryl round the clock for 24 hours! And he is doing better now! Here is a pic of his poor little face! Sorry for the crappy pic.. it is a cell phone pic!

And of course Miss.Mae says we have to have a pic of her in here! Mrs.Diva I swear! So here she is in one of here new birthday outfits! And you can see int he background the over abundance of toys she has! Everything is overflowing!

Just A Swingin!

That is Speeds new hobby! We pulled out the outdoor swing and he is in love! He spent a while out there yesterday and again today! As if you cant tell by the smile on his face! LOL!

Brooklyns Birthday party!

So Brooklyn made 3 on the 1st we had a little party here at the house! My camera sucked so I did not get any good pics! But todays party was the big boy! It was at jump n jive! And the parents and grandparents for that matter had just as much if not more fun than the kids! LOL! So all in all everyone had a great time! Brooklyn stole the show! This morning I took her for a Libby "Du"! At Libby Lu! She looked beautiful! Mrs.Cathy is going to email me pics of that! But for now.. here are pics of her party!

Skylers 1st day of 1st Grade!

My 1st baby is all grown up! Seriously.. it is so hard to believe how fast they grow up! It breaks my heart! He loves school and I know it! So it does not make things as hard! But still! It is hard to believe he is in 1st grade!

He says his first day went great! He likes his teacher and he loves seeing his friends! So I am happy if he is happy! LOL!

And he has a new trick...Holding his bottle! I could not be any prouder! LOL! Also his new thing is crawling "like a crawfish" He scoots backwards! It is really cute!



Brooklyn did something amazing Sunday night.. she tried to cut her big toe off! She was helping her Daddy work in the yard.. and she grabbed the limb cutters and cut her big toe! So off to the ER we went.. a little super glue (AKA Dermabond) and a bath for her foot and she was good to go! All she was worried about was A. Can she still have her Jump N Jive birthday... and B. Can she still wear her "high heels and flip flops"? She is such a girly girl! Instead of sharing pics of that I will share pics of her "Treat" she got today at Bass Pro! We went to lunch with my mom and she ordered Macarroni and they were out so the cook comes and appologizes to her... and she got all upset! He felt so bad he promised her a special treat! Also a pic of what Nana got her for her birthday!


As for Skyler.. he is back from Texas! He had a blast but was so ready to come home.. he missed us! I forgot to mention how proud I am of him! He played Machine Pitch this past spring/summer and his team won the summer tournament! And came from last place in the league to 2nd! Sean helped coach and we all had a blast!

Sean left for Alabama today.. so things are quiet around here.. I have 101 things to do but dont wanna do any of it! No suprise there! But it will get done! I think that is about it for now! Hopefully nothing too exciting happens in the next few days!

A 6 year 3 year and a 6 month old

Yep that is what we have!

Skyler is 6 and starts 1st grade next week! I still can not believe it! He is growing up so fast! He is def. his own special person! Really he is unlike any kid I know! He is way too smart for his age! He has his moments but overall is very well behaved!

Brooklyn made 3 yesterday! She is our princess! She rules the house! Seriously RULES the house! We may have more boys than girls here.. but she holds her own quite well! She starts preschool in the next few weeks! And I am so ready.. but I think she is more than I! She loves school!

Mr.Speed.. My oh so quiet laid back baby! Seriously.. we started out rough! But I could not ask for a better baby! He is so laid back and relaxed! He just goes with the flow! He cut his first tooth on August 31st! He is rolling over like a champ! And talks and laughs at himself like crazy! His smile just lights up the room! And he has def. become our little ladies man! (sean likes to think he inheritted that from him! LOL!)

Sean is doing good.. he just got a new laptop! Aka.. another toy to entertain him "at work"! He leaves Monday for Alabama to work for a few days! The lawn will miss him! J/k! We all will! Work seems to be slow right now! I am def. ready for it to pick up.. he on the other hand is enjoying the break!
