Avery Olivia Moran arrived September 26,2009 at 5:22 am after a quick labor and delivery.

The Story:

I started having cramps Friday during the day and didnt really think much about it. I just went about my day. I asked Kristie to stay with me that night because I just really didnt feel "right". Sean and Mrs.Cathy (MIL) went and saw Ron White and I was contracting the whole time they were gone. They got home around 9:30 and I was still cramping. Sean got called in and had to run to work. Kristie and I went to bed and I was up and down cramping all night long. Finally at 3:00 I got up and got in the tub.. within 20 minutes I was just not feeling any better so I called Sean and he said.. call the dr just to be careful.. so I did... he said why dont you come on in and get checked out.. I got out of the tub and started straightening my hair.. OMG the cramps got so bad! I was on the floor on all fours begging it to stop. Poor Kristie had to drive me to the hospital. Finally we left and took Speed to MIL's. We pulled up at her house and I had to get out of the car and get on all 4's to make the pain lighten up. She instructed me to "GET BACK IN THE CAR AND GO"! LOL! Made it to the hospital at 4:01 they sent me directly upstairs. Got in the room and got checked I was fully effaced 6cm dialated and a bulging bag. I got some IV fluids and screamed (LOL! good stuff) through the ctx's. Got my epi after 2 tries (I told the dr to pull it out 1/2 way through because I am crazy! LOL!) I layed back down at 5:00 and they checked me.. I was complete and she was RIGHT THERE! Sean walked in by this point. Thank God he made it! I was so scared he was not going to make it! I got to see the kids real quick and then it was show time... they said lets try a practice push.. I did.. they said STOP.. I did! I was not allowed to do ANYTHING sneeze, cough, laugh.. NADA! Finally the dr came in and it was show time.. Thank God he came when he did because she just came out.. no pushing or anything! She had a true knot in her cord. And in hindsight that makes me so nervous but she is perfect! And that is all that matters! We are so blessed to have her and I am completely in love.. so are the kids! Speed lies to hug her and push her away. Skyler and Brooklyn just want to hold her all the time! It is so sweet!

Life Lately...

So I have been a horrible blogger! Summer has taken my by storm and with 3 kids at home and a hubby to take care of I am usually beat by the end of the day... add to that being preggo.. I am exhausted!

So here it goes:

Speed burnt his hand at a friends BBQ.. his Daddy was watching him and he is a little too fast for him. He ran and grabbed the BBQ Pit lid and got 2nd degree burns. We had to take him to the burn unit at the genral but am happy to report that he is fine now!

Blister before they popped it: No after it was popped that day because I almost passed out at this point!

All Bandaged up for Fathers Day 1 week later!

Kristie and I took the kids to the mall just to get out of the house.. they had these jumping things and Brooklyn fell in love! Speed not as much! LOL!

Fathers Day... We had a really nice Fathers Day. The Saturday before we went out to dinner with my parents and grandmother to TJ Ribs.. Yummy! Then that Sunday morning Brooklyn and I made him breakfast in bed. Then we went to MIL's for a BBQ! Sean had a great fathers day.. he got an air condition for the "man cave" (post and pics of that to come! LOL) and tickets to Ron White! Pretty good if I do say so myself!

I signed Skyler up for VBS at church and this is from his end of the week program! He had fun!He would have rathered LSU baseball camp though.. but that will wait for next year! Can you tell by his enthusiasm!

Happy 4th Of July!

So I have been sucking at blogging lately! I have some stuff I am working on and hopefully I will find the time to work on it this week!

As for our 4th.. We have not done squat! LOL! Me and Speed got up early (after he had been up all night!) And hung out and waited for the big kids to come home from Maw Maws... they arrived around Noon and our house became a mad house again! Then we got Sean up and headed to the grocery store! Bought some steaks and mac and cheese and other good food! We came home and baked cookies and decorated them. Then ate a great dinner.. and now ready to head to bed!

So that was our 4th!

Sleeping Kids and More

Skyler fell asleep on the couch the other night.. he was worn out from having a friend over for 4 days and nights straight. He looked so cute.. so I decided to take pics of the kids sleeping!

And YES Brooklyn does still take a bottle at night.. I had her off the bottle but her Nana gives it to her and has told her to throw a fit for it! So I figure if it destroys her teeth... we will mail the bill to her Nana! Speed fell asleep on the couch sideways the other night.. he climbed up there with his bottle and passed out!

So I have been slacking in the blogging department! We have had alot of things going on lately! Brooklyn had her "graduation" my camera had dead batteries so no pics! MIL and my mom took some so I will get them from them to post! Skyler also "graduated" to 2nd grade! He missed his program because he fell off his sisters bike and hurt himself and then started throwing up blood so he was admitted to the hospital for observation and a surgical consult! Thank God we did not need it! Then we got my parents moved into a big fine house all the way out in BFE (I mean Walker)! LOL!

But onto the sprinkler fun! Speeds 1st time playing in the sprinkler! Pardon Brooklyns swim suit.. she refused to wear any other kind! LOL!

Cinco De Mayo

So yesterday my sister Kim and I decided to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with shopping and lunch out with the kiddos... we had a blast and I spent way too much $$! But got some great deals! LOL!

My redneck children! They took off outside while I was cooking dinner! I went outside to make them come back in.. and this is what I found! Atleast Brooklyn has her bow in! LOL!

A Day At The River!

My Uncle and Aunt own property that backs up to the Amite River in Denham where they have there own little private beach! Well we took the kids out to play and also to play with Seans new toy he got yesterday! Yes... he is extremly spoiled!

And lastly.. we went to Skylers Godfathers barn to visit his goats.. they were really cute and Speed and Skyler just loved them! The Momma liked to bite Sean and Skyler for just touching her babies.. but Speed could grab her babies, pull her tail and ears and bite her and she did not even flinch at him! I think she thought he was one of her babies.. he grunts a whole lot like them! LOL!

So I took the kids to the New Orleans Zoo by myself.. are you shocked? LOL! We had a blast!

Then my Mom got the kids a trampoline for Christmas.. we just got around to putting it up for them to play on! Well... sean put the trampoline up and the kids played in the box it came from! LOL! Lastly.. we took a break to enjoy an ice cream from the ice cream man!

Easter 09!

We had a really good Easter! The kids and Sean woke up Easter morning to these lovely Easter Baskets and Gift! That Easter Bunny is really nice! ;)

Then it was time to hunt for the eggs the Easter Bunny left!

The Easter Bunny was so nice he left $ in the eggs! Nana came over and made a deal.. she would buy the kids eggs for $5.. well Brooklyn was fine with it she handed over all her eggs and money. Skyler not so much..Esp. when she figured out that they had $30 in those eggs! But Nana finally gave up after Skyler said "I said you could have the eggs.. not what was in them!"

And Pardon Brooklyns eye she woke up with it swollen from a bug bite on it!

Then it was time to head to Mrs.Cathy (MIL's) house for a crawfish boil!

Speed had to fuss at the crawfish.. then get down on its level for a talking to! LOL!

Everyone enjoying crawfish! I am allergic so I cooked me and my Dad a steak!

My nephew Hayden LOVES ice! If he can find an ice chest to play in.. he is all over it! Well he had his hands in a little too long! And was not happy about having frozen hands! And then Hayden and Nana on skylers dirt bike!

So we went to 2 Easter Egg Hunts Yesterday...1 at Bass Pro and 1 at our church! The kids had fun! Speed did not quite understand it.. he just wanted to chew on the eggs! It was cute though! At the Church hunt Brooklyn and Hayden found the "golden eggs"! Brooklyn just had to rub it in her brother and cousins face! LOL! She is such a diva! MIL has the pics from the Bass Pro one so I will have to get those from her to upload! But for now enjoy these!

We might as well live like pigs with the mess that my house is in right now! I swear between the morning sickness and complete exhaustion.. not to mention the 0 help I recieve from my husband or kids... my house looks like little pigs live here! Miracle Drug??????

So Skyler has been diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, OCD, and impulse issues. We saw the pshychiatrist on Wednesday.. she was very nice and helpful! She prescribed him Focalin XR at 5 mg for the first 7 days then 10 mg after that! She is worried about him losing weight on it though because it can cause kids not to eat and Skyler is so thin to begin with... so we are drinking Ensure drinks 2xs a day and he is getting snacks at school! Well he did not eat lunch and normally he would have had numerous snacks this afternoon and he has not eaten anything! So we are def. going to stick to the Ensure and I am going to try to push a snack in the afternoon and try to cook things that I know he likes for dinner! But overall I think he has had a good day! He has been really chilled out this afternoon.. No crazy yelling or acting like a wild monkey! So that is a plus! His teacher said he had a good day at school and he said he felt like he could concentrate more! Ofcourse this is only Day 1.. I am hoping that these things stay and improve!

Onto the story of the morning.. My child has NEVER had to swallow a pill let alone a capsule.. so

this morning was interesting.. but after about 5 tries with the same pill.. blech.. he got it down! WTG Skyler! Here is to hoping that it gets better each day!

Speeds First Haircut!

It was a VERY hard decision but I broke down and did it! I took Speed for his first haircut! I forgot my camera so I took pics with my phone.. I have to get them off before I can upload them here! He did GREAT he only cried a small bit! But here it is.. he looks so much like Skyler now! Especially as a baby! I also think it makes him look skinnier! LOL!

I kept trying to get Speed in bed last night while Sean and Skyler watched wrestling.. well Speed kept fussing so finally I put him down on the floor and he toddles into the living room and I hear him say "Dada"! He wanted Sean to pick him up so he could lay with him! Then Sean brought him to me when he put Skyler to bed.. well that did not last long.. back to the living room he went! All he wanted was his Daddy! And pardon the powder on the blanket.. the men/boys in my house have a small obsession with it!

So Brooklyn started throwing up Thursday night when Nana took her to Sesame Street and it continued till Friday when she started whining saying she could not pee.. took her to the dr and they did a UA and found she was dehydrated and she was complaining of alot of belly pain so we took her to the ER and they did blood work and found that her blood sugar was low and she was def. dehydrated so they admitted her for observation and IV fluids! So we spent the night at the hospital and after it all she was feeling better!

So onto the funny stuff.. My daughter is def. my daughter she is a "milker" as my husband would call her.. She had and IV in her left arm and that arm quit working so she could not move it and we had to hold and do everything for her! Then she said it hurt to sit up.. so she could NOT sit up.. we had to carry her and hold her up and everything! Then this morning they came in to draw blood and they did it in her right arm.. well guess what that one did not work for quite a while either! It was very funny and she kept the nurses laughing and on there toes! It was funny and cute!

Last night after all my whining and exhaustion and my Mom coming over and seeing the destruction the kids had done to my house.. she decided to take them with her and let them spend the night! Boy was that a blessing.. until a lovely line of thunderstorms moved through and woke me up.. then the power went out! But atleast I got a nice quiet kid free night! Not to mention Sean had to work part of the night.. so that made it an even better night! LOL!

Then tonight she is taking them to sesame street live! Yahoo.. 2 nights in a row off! I will have Speed but he is easy!

So this post is dedicated to my Mom and Sister for taking my little demons.. oops I mean kids 2 nights in a row!

Sleep Deprived!

I am so beyond sleep deprived.. Probably because I missed my nap today! So here I sit listening to Speed whine because he wants ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING that his sister has! He does not understand he is only 1! Just another day in paradise! YAWWWWNNNN!!

But onto what I needed to post...

Speed went and saw the pulmonologist in New Orleans today and he had a Great visit! He said that we dont need to see him again unless we have any more problems.. he thinks that the Cipro did its job! So hopefully things are done with him and he can be a healthy little monkey!

When I do this blog I usually only post the "happy" good things going on with the kids.. well I think I might use it to do some venting too! LOL!

Dont get me wrong I LOVE MY LIFE... it just has its moments.. it is by no means the perfect picture of rainbows and cute little kittens!

A Typical Day For Me:

7:40 am.. phone rings Kristie telling me to wake up so I can take Skyler to school.. which genrally wakes Speed up.. I holler for Skyler and set Speed down on the floor to go play with his brother.. Skyler gets dressed while I enjoy my last 15 minutes of sleep.. which truthfully is heavenly sleep!

8:20 am.. I take Skyler to school still in my PJ's no bra hair not even brushed.. Speed still in his pjs and Brooklyn in her night gown!

9:00 am.. MWF.. Brooklyn is suppose to be at school.. we genrally run about 10-15 minutes late because I dont wanna sit in carpool looking oh so lovely in my pjs and undone hair!

10:30 am.. Speed and I's naptime! By this time of the morning (esp. since being pregnant) I am dying to take a nap and dreading having to wake up!

12:50..MWF.... roll over and realize Oh shit.. I gotta go get Brooklyn.. grab Speed and run get Brooklyn.. usually last because I hate the carpool line! Any other day we are still sleeping!

1:00.. home dealing with Brooklyn having a melt down because she is exhausted and in this stage where she refuses to nap!

2:00.. maybe run errands if I HAVE to! Or take Brooklyn or Skyler to Therapy on Mondays and Tuesdays!

3:00.. going to get Skyler if I have not talked Kristie into doing it! Long boring ass carpool line where people have the brains of monkeys and cant figure out how it works.. well ladies and gentlemen.. it has worked the same way forever!

4:00.. home.. sitting in my lazy chair.. counting down the hour, minutes, seconds till I can put the kids to bed.. because they are outside fighting and screaming and carrying on as if wild Indians lived at my house! I am sure my neighbors love me! And this is the time that I go CRAZY! I walk out the door announcing 101 times that if they do this or that again I am going to tear there butts up.. never happens and they know it! This is also the time they turn into scavengers and try to eat anything and everything they can in the house... I am all for a snack.. but my Goodness these kids eat like they have never eaten before!

Sean usually makes it home sometime in here and takes the kids outside so I can have some quiet time! Which usually is interupted by a kid coming in crying because Sean has fussed at them or they dont like the answer they got from him! It is either that or he is looking for something to go do to get out of here.. i.e. roping, look at "roys" 4-wheeler, fly a kite.. who knows!

5:00... Dinner starts.. Baby under my feet crying.. kids screaming and fighting..and me about to fall asleep into the hot pots infront of me! Not to mention the time my nauseau begins to actually rear its ugly head the most!

5:30ish.. dinner time! The time when my kids come to look in the pot and say WTHeck is that.. I dont like that.. or I am not hungry I had a big lunch.. YEAH! So I fix each of them a plate and set it on the table.. where it becomes a stand off of me versus them.. so finally after an hour of trying to coax them to eat I give up and tell them to put there plates on the counter.. to which they say.."can I have a popsicle"! Um NO!

6:30.. bath time! There favorite time of the day! I usually sit down with Skyler and do homework and let the other 2 bathe.. then switch off!

7:00... down time... kids in beds.. well in BED because Brooklyn REFUSES to sleep in here room.. so she ends up with Skyler every evening and the battle begins.. I swear they have cage matches in that room! This is also the time they know I am trying to get Speed down and I cant yell at them.. so they begin shuffling up and down the hall going the bathroom or "get a drink of water".. but somehow in the morning jello and yogurt and cookies and other containers end up on the headboard! I guess we have hungry ass elves in this house!

8:00.. my bed time! Yeah we are early to bed around here! Our day starts to early for me! I wish I could go to sleep at 6:3o and when Sean is home I try!

So that is a run down of my day! In the mix of all that.. I find time to pay bills, grocery shop and pick up the house to make it look like people not monkeys live here!

I dont remember the last time I wore my hair down, wore a cute outfit that was not spit up on or had something spilt on it, or did my make-up! But my life is my life and I would not change it for anything! Every smile, I love you Mom, hug and kiss makes it worth it! And dont tell my husband.. but it is not that hard! ;)

So that is my Un-rainbows and kittens! LOL!

Girls Day Lunch

So Skyler and Sean went fishing today so me and Brooklyn were left hanging around the house! I had to get out.. so Brooklyn Speed and I decided to go to lunch.. but Brooklyn wanted a "girls day" so we called her friend Baylee and asked her if she wanted to come.. and they had a blast! We are def. going to have to do it more often! We went to Chilis for a yummy lunch and now they are outside playing!

Ball Season Has Started!

This is my favorite time of the year.. despite the heat! I live for baseball season now that I have kids big enough to play! Yes I am that loud mouthed mom cheering on my kids! Sometimes I wonder.. Do I enjoy it more than them?? LOL! So here it is ball season again.. Normally it would just be Skyler playing.. but this year Brooklyn has started T-ball and she is quite the "diva" I mean "player"! Seriously though.. she is a great little player but she is not giving up her "diva" roots.. she sat out there shaking her butt in her short little white shorts and dont forget the pink glove and cleats! She is for sure all girl! Then we have Skyler who has turned out to be a great little machine pitch player! He plays short stop and is pretty good! He hit the ball awesome today! Then we have "Coaches Tickie and Dad"! Kristie coaches Brooklyns team.. and she did a great job of managing the bench and keeping Brooklyn in check.. which is usually a full time job! LOL! And Sean who spent 2 hours last night outside (because it had to be quiet so he could concentrate) working on the line up and his "board" of where everyone plays and the batting order! I will have to get a pic of that! Then me and Speed... our job is to cheer everyone on.. and I think we do a GREAT job of it! Speed even found his Bubbas bat and ball and thought he would give things a try.. that was rather exhausting so he had to squeeze a nap in there too! So onto the pics.......

St.Jude Trip!

Then we went back to see the ducks again.. this time we did not miss it and Skyler got to assist the Duckmaster. He got to ride up the elevator with them.. Skyler said the guy even picked up the boy duck and he pressed the button for what floor to go to with his beak! He loved it! Speed loved the duckmaster too.. anytime he could get close enough he wanted the man to hold him!

Speeds Hospital Stay!

So Speed came down with the dreaded Rotovirus a few weeks ago.. we spent 6 days in the hospital at the Genral on Bluebonnet... I love there peds unit.. mainly because I hate the Lake with every passionate bone in my body!

But here are some pics of our stay!

The Good news was Speed was feeling 100x's better after the 6 days.. the Bad news was that his cousin Hayden had caught it too! So he ended up at the hospital for IV fluids.. poor baby!

So my blog got a new look today! I love it! So now I have to do some much needed blogging that I have been getting behind on.. so since I am constantly nauseaus and sitting at home in the recliner or bed oh the joys of being preggo.. my goal for tomorrow is to work on catching up on all my blogging! First things first.. We were in the hospital with Speed he got Rotavirus ontop of the lung infection..so now we are home and he is feeling 100% better.. wish I could say the same! Morning sickness is kicking my butt ontop of extreme exhaustion from not sleeping for 7 nights straight! But things are looking up! I am 9 weeks preggo so only a few more weeks of this sickness!

We leave for St.Jude Monday with Skyler for a check up! Things should go Great! We are not expecting anything!

We got a phone call from the pulmonologist today and the results came back from the samples they took from Speeds lungs.. He has 3 infections in his lungs.. Staph Strep Pnemenuia and one other! He is on Cipro 3xs a day for 2 weeks. And in the morning we are going for some testing on his imune system! The drs say it is very rare for babies to have this in there lungs! Please keep him in your prayers!

So Speed had his scope done on Friday and he did great! The dr thinks his adenoids are what are causing all his trouble! So we see the ENT in the morning to see about having them removed!

So my baby boy is turning 1 Thursday January 29th 2009! I still cant believe my baby is growing up so fast! He is taking a step here and there but isn't walking yet!( Thank God) He crawls and stands on his own without pulling up on anything! New Member of the Family!

So we got a new member of the family Saturday! And Sunday Santa drooped Speed on his face! WOW! We had an exciting weekend! LOL!

Sean has been wanting a Great Dane for a while now. So we have been looking around for one for him. I thought I was going to have to pick one up on our way back from St.Jude at the end of the month. But we got lucky and found this one in Robert La. He is papered and precious! He is wonderful with the kids and we are working on the potty training stuff!

So introducing... Diesel Moran! He is 11 weeks old and about 19 lbs!

As for Santa.. Sunday night we went to Bass Pro for the big "Christmas/Santa" reveal! Well it was a MAD HOUSE! We were like 15 th in line.. so we go up there and it was so crazy. Santa is holding the kids for their picture and when they got done.. the other 2 got off his lap and he dropped Speed off his lap! I am NOT happy at all! My Mom works there so I tried to calm my fit.. but I am still beyond livid! And Santas appology (not to me but to Kristie b/c I was freaking out) was "Sorry I told them not to let me hold babies"! WTF.. what Santa does not hold babies???? Pics to come of that!

So we had a lion on the loose this am! He moves really fast (as you can see in the pics) and is way too cute to be scary!

The kids all got shot Friday! Speed is playing catch up so he got his 4 month shots and goes on Nov. 5th for his 6 month shots and 9 month check up! Plus all 3 of them got Flu shots! That was an adventure! Brooklyn is one strong kid.. it took all of us to hold her down! (I brought MIL for reinforcement! LOL!) and she still was fighting.. she was screaming and crying ..... so Speed starts screaming.. all the while Skyler is laughing! Then it was Skylers turn he was NOT laughing then! Then it was Speeds turn! Poor thing.. He was a trooper for getting 5 shots!

Skylers class had to perform at the fair.. the danced to Chim Chim Cher-e from Mary Poppins.. they had to be chimney sweeps! He was on the back row so I did not get great pics! But got what I could!

That is the theme for our lives right now! Crazy stuff going on at Seans work has him stressed beyond belief! I am fighting a sinus infection from hell.. it will not go away! Then the kiddos.. Speed is finishing cutting his 2 top teeth! So my oh so happy baby has his mood swings! Then Brooklyn well she is Brooklyn and is keeping on my toes! Onto Skyler.. his social calendar is so busy! I swear he has a busier social calendar then me or his father ever have had! Tomorrow he has a Den meeting for Boy Scouts and I have a fair comittee meeting.. Which I am so excited for! Me and my mom run the "Country Store" at our church fair. It gives me something to do and a way to contribute. I love it! I am really looking forward to this year! Oh and if you can make crafty things or know someone that is..... hit me up.. we need some cute crafty stuff donated to sell! Then poor Remi.. (The Dog) her world sucks.. she is stuck in the house because we have no fence thanks to Gustav and Ike. She is beyond misserable.. she just whines to go outside! But besides that not much going on!

I am sitting in my house typing this! FINALLY! After 9 Loooonnnnggg days... we got power last night! We were going out to dinner and had to drive past our street.. and I looked down and saw a light on down the street... I told Sean to turn around.. he thought it was just a generator causing the light to be on.. but Nope.. got home and we had power! I have never been more happy! We all slept like rocks in our own beds!

Now onto the bad news.. my dryer will not work.. I dunno wth the deal is with it! I dunno if something happened when Sean tried to hook the generator up or what?? So all the laundry I have been dying to do.. isnt getting done! Sean "looked" at it.. but does not have a clue.. I got mad at him and told him I was going tomorrow and buy a brand new set.. this set to be exact..

Then I got the "look"! LOL! So I guess he did not like that very much! LOL!

Besides that not much going on! Just Busy Busy Busy! Skyler goes back to school tomorrow.. and Brooklyn Friday Thank God! I thought I was going to have to beat them both today at wal-mart.. note to self.. "Do not take your kids on a restock the fridge/freezer shopping trip.. for your own sanity!" After that I was more ready than ever for them to go back!

Okay off to bed in my cold house with my warm bed! Ahhhhh Home!

Surviving Gustav!

We are still without power! No fun at all! We are staying with my sister! She has power and internet! Thank God! We have all had a virus.. congestion coughing fever etc. Speed and Brooklyn had the throwing up! Blech Blech Blech! Skyler Sean and I have mainly just had the congestion/coughing/fever combo! Now Kristie is getting it!

They are saying we "might" have power by Tuesday! I need power.. my house smells.. walked in yesterday and had red ants all over my counter! My house wiring is retarded so a generator will not work with it.. so that makes me even more mad!

And with all that.. It looks like IKE may come to visit us! Oh dear GOD please dont let it! If it does.. I am considering moving to another country!

So that is our Update on the Gustav situation!

On the upside..Sean goes back to work Monday! Skyler goes back to school Wednesday probably! And Speed got a new tooth! One on the top! So now we have 3 teeth total!

That is it for now till I can get pics up of all the lovely distruction that Gustav did to our yard and roof and fence and dog cage and trees.. you get the point! LOL!

Only my husband I swear! LOL! He goes roping... the rope comes around and "slaps" his pinkie.. and he breaks it! HIS PINKIE! So I had to take him to after hours which I found hillarious.. it is a pinkie? WTH could they possibly do? So I took him anyway.. the dr goes to look at it and touch on it and Sean turns GREEN and almost throws up! So he had to lay down.. it was then that I realized a pinkie break hurts! LOL! But he got NO sympathy from the girls up there LOL... he went fishing/run the boat yesterday.. then gets home.. leaves and goes roping.. then today he had planned on going fishing again! So he was just going out and enjoying himself and leaving me to deal with the kids! NO MAM! Thats not cool! So I did get a sick little laugh in at him and so did all the ladies! Guess he wont be going fishing today.. instead he will be going to the dr!

Open House

Tonight was Skylers schools open house! We had to listen to this long talk from the principal and the PTA then they did a raffle... we won a $25 gift certificate to Outback.. of course as soon as I start a diet! LOL! Then we got to go meet his teacher...this is where the fun started....

Since the 1st day of school we have had a TON of homework... I swear we spend at least an hour on homework a night! I think this is crazy.. the 1st week of first grade and all this? Oh but I had no clue it was about to get worse... She informs us tonight that we have even more on our plate.. math drills.. writing drills..word recognition drills...etc! It is crazy! The teacher was not the "friendliest" of people! She seemed very frazzled and even said she does not have enough time to sit and treat them like babies..well in my eyes.. HE STILL IS A BABY! HE IS MY BABY! I almost started crying listening to this woman talk.. I don't want my baby having all this or dealing with all this! Thankfully I was not the only one.. the other moms kept looking at each other going OMG.. WTH? So I dunno what to think..but I guess we just have to do it! I guess I was spoiled last year! Mrs.Craig was so wonderful! She was so close to the kids and took such good care of them and helped them!

But despite all of this.. Skyler got his test back from last week and I could not be ANY PROUDER! Seriously... On his Spelling test.. He got a 100% A... Grammar... 97% A ..... reading a 90% B he should have had a 93 but the teacher took points off on the stupidest thing.. he wrote in the right answer but did not fill in the bubble! And Conduct he had a 100% A! So tomorrow.. he gets to go get a bakugan toy! Well I am taking him to get 1 and he has talked his Maw Maw into taking him to get 2 of them... he asked for 3 but she shot him down.. I give him an A for effort! LOL! So bribery is going to be the trick! LOL!

And lastly... Skyler is going to be a "Dream Child" standing up at the Dreams Come True Dance.. and he gets to bring a friend.. so he should have a blast!

Me: What do you think about your first week of school?
Skyler: It was good I had fun

Me: What do you miss about Kind.?
Skyler: Naptime and Snack... we dont get those anymore! Mrs.Craig being my teacher and centers!

Me: Do you think you are all grown up now that you are in 1st grade?
Skyler: Pretty much we are grown up some more now that we are in 1st grade!

Me: What do you think about all your homework?
Skyler: Its hard.. and it takes a really long time to do!

So that is Skylers feelings on 1st grade! LOL! We are waiting for the results of his 1st spelling test.. he missed 1 word on the pretest.. so I hope he did well on the big test! We bribed him.. I know bad parents! But if he does good he gets a bakugan toy!

The 'Coon hunter and a trip to the dr!

So Saturday after Brooklyns birthday Sean was determined to catch this annoying Raccoon that kept getting in the trash! Going in our shed and almost came in the house when the kids left the back door open the other day! So Friday night he tried till 3 am to catch it... the coon was smarter than him though! (not a tough job! hahaha) So evertime he would set it the coon would "sneak" in get his pb&j sandwich and sneak out of the trap! So Saturday night Sean was on the hunt! He got smart for once and said the coon was greedy so he made 2 sandwiches and set them both in the cage.. well the greedy coon could not just have one sandwich he needed 2! So being greedy got him caught! Sean was overjoyed! Seriously a kid in a candy store excited!LOL! The coon seemed really nice! He was not scared at all.. well until Remi tried to grow a pair and scare him! But overall he never hissed or anything! So Sean took him to his parents house and turned him loose! But here are some pics!

Then Monday rolls around and Speed wakes up with his face covered in a rash and wheezing! Scared the life out of me! I gave him a breathing treatment then I called the dr and they said bring him in! So I took Skyler to school and then off to the dr we went! She said it looked like an allergic reaction.. but to what?? He did not eat anything new so she said he had a bug bite on his forehead so she guessed maybe that? So she put him on steroids for 5 days and benadryl round the clock for 24 hours! And he is doing better now! Here is a pic of his poor little face! Sorry for the crappy pic.. it is a cell phone pic!

And of course Miss.Mae says we have to have a pic of her in here! Mrs.Diva I swear! So here she is in one of here new birthday outfits! And you can see int he background the over abundance of toys she has! Everything is overflowing!

So Brooklyn made 3 on the 1st we had a little party here at the house! My camera sucked so I did not get any good pics! But todays party was the big boy! It was at jump n jive! And the parents and grandparents for that matter had just as much if not more fun than the kids! LOL! So all in all everyone had a great time! Brooklyn stole the show! Skylers 1st day of 1st Grade!

My 1st baby is all grown up! Seriously.. it is so hard to believe how fast they grow up! It breaks my heart! He loves school and I know it! So it does not make things as hard! But still! It is hard to believe he is in 1st grade!

He says his first day went great! He likes his teacher and he loves seeing his friends! So I am happy if he is happy! LOL!

And he has a new trick...Holding his bottle! I could not be any prouder! LOL! Also his new thing is crawling "like a crawfish" He scoots backwards! It is really cute!

Brooklyn did something amazing Sunday night.. she tried to cut her big toe off! She was helping her Daddy work in the yard.. and she grabbed the limb cutters and cut her big toe! So off to the ER we went.. a little super glue (AKA Dermabond) and a bath for her foot and she was good to go! All she was worried about was A. Can she still have her Jump N Jive birthday... and B. Can she still wear her "high heels and flip flops"? She is such a girly girl! Instead of sharing pics of that I will share pics of her "Treat" she got today at Bass Pro! We went to lunch with my mom and she ordered Macarroni and they were out so the cook comes and appologizes to her... and she got all upset! He felt so bad he promised her a special treat! Also a pic of what Nana got her for her birthday!

As for Skyler.. he is back from Texas! He had a blast but was so ready to come home.. he missed us! I forgot to mention how proud I am of him! He played Machine Pitch this past spring/summer and his team won the summer tournament! And came from last place in the league to 2nd! Sean helped coach and we all had a blast!

Sean left for Alabama today.. so things are quiet around here.. I have 101 things to do but dont wanna do any of it! No suprise there! But it will get done! I think that is about it for now! Hopefully nothing too exciting happens in the next few days!

Yep that is what we have!

Skyler is 6 and starts 1st grade next week! I still can not believe it! He is growing up so fast! He is def. his own special person! Really he is unlike any kid I know! He is way too smart for his age! He has his moments but overall is very well behaved!

Brooklyn made 3 yesterday! She is our princess! She rules the house! Seriously RULES the house! We may have more boys than girls here.. but she holds her own quite well! She starts preschool in the next few weeks! And I am so ready.. but I think she is more than I! She loves school!

Mr.Speed.. My oh so quiet laid back baby! Seriously.. we started out rough! But I could not ask for a better baby! He is so laid back and relaxed! He just goes with the flow! He cut his first tooth on August 31st! He is rolling over like a champ! And talks and laughs at himself like crazy! His smile just lights up the room! And he has def. become our little ladies man! (sean likes to think he inheritted that from him! LOL!)

Sean is doing good.. he just got a new laptop! Aka.. another toy to entertain him "at work"! He leaves Monday for Alabama to work for a few days! The lawn will miss him! J/k! We all will! Work seems to be slow right now! I am def. ready for it to pick up.. he on the other hand is enjoying the break!
